We stopped to get gas on the way out of Omaha and noticed this...Somehow the wheel didn't fall off. Thank Jesus!!! (And I'm a Jew!)
update: we drove 1/2 mile to a Ford dealership where Chris and the boys are working on the destroyed wheel bearing on the left trailer wheel. If we are lucky (again) we will be on the road today. Fingers crossed. Nora is enjoying a grassy field that is part of the adjoining John Deere dealer. We are in good spirits but disappointed that we will not be seeing the Kovars tonight. It is a beautiful day here in Seward, Nebraska.
update 2: got to chat with Carlos Velasco of Mexico who is a former international youth BMX champion, having raced in Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia, as well as Mexico. He now trains horses and works in sales at the dealership that is servicing our trailer. Very cool! His coworker (didn't get his name yet) found us an F150 to use to go on a lunch run. Our trailer still isn't fixed but hopefully it will be by the end of the day.
